The full moon had risen to its highest point and its light illuminated the crimson field with a pale glow. Though the howls in the forest had been heard since the end of the battle it was only now that they grew their loudest each roar becoming more feral by the moment. Abels uncontrollable body raced through the fields as he feasted upon the bodies of his fallen comrades the blood soaking his face and coating his body. The young man watched in horror as he continued to devour the gruesome remains without any control over himself, the beast had gained even more power with the full moon further increasing his ferocity and beastial appearance. After finishing his fifth corpse a thunderous howl bellowed from Abel, it was then that the beasts that were lurking in the forest emerged and joined him in his feasting upon his breatheren.

After hours upon hours of feasting abel laid himself down upon the tufts of grass and fell asleep his body making the far less painful transformation back to his human state. Throughout his rest abel was plagued with horrible nightmares of the horrible act he had done against his own will the taste of his comrades remains causing him to gag in his sleep.

Abel awoke after sleeping the day away his armor had suffered some damage due to his transformation but nothing that he couldn't fix, as he stood up he still could feel some pain in his body from the stress it had been through but he knew he would have to return to the castle soon before the others noticed his absence. As he walked slowly home he wondered about how long it would be until he could control the beast or if he would have to leave his brothers and seek refuge with the very beasts he'd been killing all these years, the latter was a possibility as the lycans had not attacked him when he was among them but should they see his human form they may not be so kind. Dark clouds shrouded the pale moon making the darkness of the night all the more perilous as it was at these times that all creatures of the night had an advantage over travelers but in the distance he could see the castle torches light illuminating the sky with their light but for some reason something didn't seem right.... the light was brighter than usual and though a normal human couldn't see a difference from such a distance but it was very visable to abel. Abel quickened his pace while unlatching his spear from its holster hoping that everything was fine but preparing if it wasn't.
